VSCPA Member Rose Araghchy, CPA, Selected to Attend AICPA’s 2023 Leadership Academy  | Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants

Rose Araghchy, CPA, of R2 Advisors PC in McLean, Va., is one of only 36 Certified Public Accountants (CPA) nationwide selected by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) to join its 2023 Leadership Academy. Araghchy was chosen based on her exceptional leadership skills and professional experience. This year’s Academy, held December 11–14, will graduate its 15th class. 

Araghchy is the founder of R2 Advisors with more than 12 years of experience helping for-profit businesses, nonprofit organizations and government sponsored institutions drive innovation, organizational growth and sustainability.  

She holds a master’s of accountancy degree from the George Washington University School of Business and a bachelor’s of business administration with a focus in accounting and finance from Marymount University. As a licensed CPA in Virginia, she is a member of the Virginia Society of CPAs (VSCPA) and AICPA. She also speaks at industry events, such as CFO roundtables and panel discussions, and volunteers her time with a variety of charitable organizations. 

The AICPA Leadership Academy is designed to strengthen and expand the leadership skills of promising young professionals while they network with a peer group of talented and motivated CPAs. It features career-development workshops and sessions with some of the accounting profession’s most prominent influencers. Participants were selected from public accounting firms of all sizes, business and industry, government, and consulting firms.  

To date, more than 480 CPAs have participated in the AICPA Leadership Academy, many of whom have gone on to take on leadership positions in their firms, businesses, and volunteer organizations.
