We are now growing into the sports industry — from professional teams and leagues to youth academies and sports-related businesses. To drive this expansion, we are hiring a Business Development Lead who is passionate about the business of sports and skilled at forging high-value partnerships.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the development of our sports industry business strategy
  • Secure and grow strategic partnerships with teams, academies, and sports-related enterprises
  • Build relationships with owners, executives, and industry stakeholders to uncover growth opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver advisory, CFO, tax, and digital solutions that drive impact in sports organizations
  • Stay ahead of industry trends in finance, media rights, sponsorship, compliance, and technology
  • Represent R2 Advisors at sports industry events, panels, and conferences

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in business development, consulting, or executive roles within sports or related industries
  • Deep knowledge of sports business challenges (finance, compliance, growth, sponsorship, operations)
  • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills at the executive level
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to create opportunities in new markets
  • Bachelor’s degree required (Sports Management, Business, or Finance preferred; MBA a plus)

 

Success in Year One Looks Like:

  • Establishing 5+ strategic client relationships within sports organizations
  • Driving new service revenue growth across tax, advisory, and CFO offerings in the sector
  • Positioning R2 Advisors as a go-to partner for financial strategy in sports
